Every anti-Microsoft site I go to is stuck somewhere between 1995 and 2001. Times change, Microsoft thinks of new ways to screw customers, etc. That is all.

Yes, you are correct that there is plenty of new information that could be added to this site. It's actually a very time consuming process to keep up with all the new happenings, though. That's why I suspect most sites have a focus that seems to be several years old. That's also why I added the forums to this site so that users could contribute more up to date information.

Yes, that's a good idea, and I have been thinking about doing that by setting up Wikis for the "What's Bad?" and "Alternatives" pages. In the meantime, there are corresponding forums where you can contribute new content:
