				| I use it so rarely that I actually had to check.  For MP3s my distro has xmms, and for video it has xine.  Normally when browsing I use RealPlayer. |

KDE is a desktop environment for Linux
 
 
For windows, I use winamp, but it's not opensource |

I suggest iTunes, Winamp and VLC Media Player, the last of which is open source.
 
 
I myself use iTunes to maintain my song library and use iTunes and occasionally Winamp to play my songs on the computer. |
