My new PC is a Dell Dimension E310. Is there any way that I can use the Winmodem in Linux? I am interested in ways to use it in Kubuntu Linux because that is the distribution that I have a disc for. On another note, has anybody installed a dual-boot config with Kubuntu 6.06 and Winblows?

I'm assuming that you've already tried seeing if your Linux distro supports the winmodem. (Some Linux distros support some winmodems right "out of the box". E.g., Xandros Linux found the winmodem on my wife's HP computer, no problem.)

The definitive site for information is http://linmodems.org/ . I haven't done much with winmodems so I can't offer much more help.

Tried with the Live CD, no luck. I hate Winmodems. They should suffer a slow and agonizing death.
